Two New Characters Revealed for 'The Walking Dead' Season 3

From: Shock Til You Drop

As The Walking Dead lurches into season 3, the canvas of characters is going to widen significantly.  If you're familiar with the comic, or if you saw the season finale of season 2, Rick Grimes and company are heading to a prison, albeit an abandoned one - or so they think.  Of the new characters they encounter, we know Michonne (Danai Gurira) - the samurai sword-wielding gal - is on the plate.  So is The Governor (David Morrissey).  But who else can we expect?

Spoiler TV landed two character descriptions from a casting call sheet.

[HAROLD] 40s to early 50s. Male. A studious and fastidious man, trying to create a niche for himself in this new world. Guest star. Recurring

[MANUEL] 30 to 40, Hispanic, a working class survivor, he is confident, physically skilled, a leader when necessary, capable and smart. Has a terrific sense of humor where you wouldn't expect one. Recurring.

Are these other survivors?  Potential prison inmates?  I guess we'll find out...

It really threw me off at the end of Season 2, when Michonne had two zombies chained to her with their arms and jaw bones removed. One would think they would still try to relentlessly attack.
