The Crimson Ghosts

Yes, I'm reviewing the band as a whole. NOT just a specific album. I do that from time to time. Now i know someone out there is thinking "Really Khaos? You're gonna review a Misfits cover band from germany?" You poor,dumb, pathetic bastard. If that's what you really think Crimson Ghost is, then tuck your baby nuts up and get the fuck out, because you don't know shit.
The Crimson Ghost ARE from germany. They DO do alot of Misfits covers. Is that ALL they are? Fuck no!! Let's start off with the Misfits cover songs. NOONE out there is doing it better. Their cover of Hybrid Moments is fucking epic. I won't say it's better than the original out right. Because how can anything be better than the original of ANYTHING. I will say that the way Crimson Ghosts do it, is the way I feel Glenn and the boys should have done it to begin with. They harmonize this song SO well. Listen to it yourself, it's awesome. They also aren't afraid to jump in and do Graves era Misfits covers.
Now let's talk about their original material. They are so diverse in their sound, it's really hard to just say they do 1 thing and repeat it. Because that shit is far from true. They for sure know how to bring the ruckus. Check out songs like The Body Bag. A rolicking jam about working late night in a mortuary when the dead come back to life that is sure to leave you bouncing off the walls and nodding your head til your neck snaps. But The Crimson Ghosts can bring haunting soul burning tunes like October Slowly Dying. A song that truely shows the range of this great band. They also have some artwork for their merch.
