It's Christophe Murdock's birthday today!
After May Daze I headed up to OKC for a "Rockabilly" show that Prairie Fire was booked for. One of the bands dropped out so Brian Dunning threw something together for it and a touring act from Kansas City called St. Dallas and The Sinners played. The show wasn't packed, but everyone there was having a great time. We weren't in top form, but we put out more than enough energy.

Playing the May Daze festival was interesting. Not my usual kind of gig. I opened up the fest on Friday with a solo set. There were little kids dancing and a handful of older folks in wheelchairs clapping along. It was fun.

Mother's Day at Truth Church. Patrick Vandiver was back in town. Always cool to play with him. I picked up a new 12 string that I started using this time around. Also, since it was Mother's Day, Joey and I snuck in a little "Mama Tried" before church officially began.

On short notice I went up to the Central Texas Toy & Comic Expo in San Marcos to visit family and set up a booth for The Hidden Cape Foundation. It was a very cool weekend. I got to hang out with Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster). Also met a lot of very cool people. The expo was a smaller one, so I was able to do a lot more hanging out and talking.
