Hello fiends!
I have started writing a horror novel and I wanted to post what I have so far and see what you guys think. I am open to any suggestions you might have but please be kind =)
First I'm going to give you some background on the story it's set in 1956 and it's about these teenage kids who discover a demon in human form. I know that sounds kinda lame but just bare with me... The story begins with a present moment then goes from the past leading up to that moment and…

Hello boils and ghouls,
I am in need of a new alias one that could double as a stage name should I ever need it and one that reflects my love of the macabre..
I was going to stick with Mary Macabre but as it so happens the use of the word Macabre is pretty popular so I want something a little more unique.
I'm keeping Mary so whatever I choose will follow my first name. My real last name starts with an M, and the name Mary followed by a last name that begins with M flows…

Most people don't understand how or why, but I absolutely HATE Christmas. I fancy myself a Grinch. Seriously, the Grinch is one of my favorite characters of all time. So it got me to thinking, even though the Grinch found the true meaning of Christmas and had a drastic change of heart, would you consider the Grinch somewhat of a Horror icon? Varanus said… Touchy question! First let me say I'm a lifelong drooling Misfits fan. Of course my favorite era is the Danzig period that goes without saying. But I did enjoy the Graves era quite a bit. That's when I got to see them play live I was actually at their very first live show with Graves at the Type-O Negative Halloween show back in 95/96. I am not Jerry hater but I can't say I'm completely thrilled with the new album. It's ok and has a couple good songs on it. I especially like Monkeys Paw and Blackhole. I've seen them play live with Jerry fronting and although I do not think he's as terrible as some make him out to be I'd love to see Graves back up there with them. Just my two cents.
