- Frontman For Malaysian Horror Punk Rock Band.. The Haunting.
- Frontman For Horror Punk Metal Band.. The Rivals.
The first time I heard Motley Crue Shout At The Devil album in 1989 I was in primary school. As a child in my pre teen years, I wasn’t very familiar with music. All I knew about was Search (Malaysian Rock Scene) and even though when I listened to Search as a young boy and wanted to be in a band like them, I realized that would probably never happen. But when Motley Crue stepped into my life I was able to come of age and really take a new avenue in appearance, style and culture. Music wasn’t as easy to research back then as it is today. So for the next 4 - 6 years I purchased a lots of Motley Crue albums and singles, leading me to explore new bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Motorhead and other heavy metal type bands. Eventually leading me into the punk rock and discovering my first Sex Pistols album. Then the Clash and The Damned. Then Misfits, The Exploited and Anti Pasti. By the time I was 15, I had fallen into the punk rock scene and discovered my first Sex Pistols album. And that band made me a different person. Sex Pistols portrayed a look, concept and vision that I felt I strongly related to. Sex Pistols was more than just a band to me. And not just me. A large portion of there audience feels the same way. Sex Pistols audience and followers are usually wearing black jacket, boots and spikey hair looks-like. But in all fairness, I can’t give all the credit to just The Sex Pistols for who, or what I turned out to be. I owe a lot to other inspirations that played key roles in changing my life. Glenn Danzig is one of those people who I owe much credit to. After seeing and story behind Glenn rise from the ashes of The Misfits to create Samhain and then Danzig, I was drawn to the ability of his success and creativity as well as his knack of doing things his own way. A trait I still admire to this day. So to be completely honest, I’m not sure what really changed me in my past to become what I am today.
Misfits, Samhain, Balzac, Wednesday 13th, Blitzkid, Empire Hideous, The Other, Crimson Ghost and many more..
